Former 2000 Greater Alliance Carnation Festival Queen Dr. Maryam Jahdi. Maryam went to Regena Coeli and St. Thomas High School. She attended medical school at St. George's University where she had the opportunity to study abroad in England and the West Indies as well as in New York. She returned to Ohio to complete her psychiatric residency at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident during her final year. She then returned to New York to complete her forensic psychiatry fellowship training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine program. Maryam is board certified in both general and forensic psychiatry. She currently works for the New York State Office of Mental Health as Assistant Director of Forensic Services at Bronx Psychiatric Center. |
