Welcome to the Greater Alliance Carnation Festival

2008 Carnation Festival August 7th - 17th

Honoring Alliance as the Carnation City, the Greater Alliance Carnation Festival is a week of parades, food and fun throughout the city.

An outdoor RibFest kicks off the annual festival. The three-day RibFest begins the second Thursday in August and is outside the Carnation Mall.

The festival is officially inaugurated Sunday with a kick-off parade from Park and Main Street to Glamorgan Castle. That evening, the Carnation Queen is crowned and her court is selected.

Continuing throughout "Festival Week" is many other events, including Ice Cream Socials, a Hot Air Ballon Lift-Off, Men’s & Women’s Golf Scrambles, and many many more.

Carnation Days in the Park takes place in Silver Park and runs Wednesday through Saturday and features food, craft displays and free live entertainment.

The festival ends on Saturday with a day filled of exciting activities. In the morning is the Grand Parade featuring more than 130 units. In the evening to finish off the week, a spectacular Fireworks to music show is presented for the community.

Fireworks Sponsors Still Needed!	2/29/2008
The Festival Task Force Committee is still looking for 2-3 Major Sponsors for the Fireworks display on Saturday night at Days in the Park. Sponsorships for the FireWorks start at $2,000. It includes your company name and logo on 20,000+ distributed brochures as well as all Carnation Festival literature promoting our sponsors. 2008 Festival Dates Announced!	11/17/2007
The dates for the 2008 Carnation Festival have been released! The 49th Annual Carnation Festival will begin on Thursday August 7th with the RibFest @ Carnation Mall and will end on Sunday August 17th with the annual Triathalon. For a complete schedule, click here.
2007 Carnation Queen Crowned!	8/12/2007

Friends of the Festival

Become a "Friend of the Festival" and have your name printed in our Annual Brochure. The $100 donation is tax deductible and helps the Festival Board support the 20+ different events. In the past, this money has been used to help cover the cost of the spectacular Fireworks show.
